Things have been pretty quiet around here this past week. Gavin continues to remain at status quo. He had lost some weight a week or so ago and is slowly comoing back up. Our nurse who usaly comes only 3 times per week in able to do 7 night a week for the week, which should make a huge difference for Gavin.

Gavin wen tot duPont this past week and saw Dr. R. I think he was happy but certainly was looking for Gavin to put on some more weight. he didn't really have to much to say. Just keep going.... That's all we can do. We know what he needs, it's just a matter of getting him what he needs.

I must say that I am a bit frusterated. Adam and I just really want to see Gavin get going! He is so happy and comfortable so we don't really want to push his feeds up but then again if he doesn't start moving foward we will have no choice. He is not really progressing developmentally. He leared how to sit in a tripod over his last hospitalization but hasn't really moved foward with that. Cognitivly he is able to learn how to do these things but he either doen't have the energy or he just doesn't want to. We hope to move him to PT twice per week, which may make a difference.

We have a nurse coming during the day for two days per week and I have found this to be so helpful! She is a real blessing to me as She is great with Gavin and also a nice person! Madi and I have gotten to spend some alone time together, which is much needed!

Adam and I are going on a date with some friends on Friday night!! Can you even belive it? We are so excited to get out and have some fun!

Thanks for your continued prayers. We have been home over a month now!

Lauren & kids: Wow, I can't believe it's been over a month since you've been home! What a blessing!
I am sure Gavin just needs a little extra time to catch up.. he sounds like he's doing great!

Fava Family: Praying that God will continue to bless Gavin and your family. We pray that Gavin's weight improves and that he gains more strength every day. We are so happy that you and Adam are able to go out on a date with some friends this Friday evening. Karen, please feel free to call Joe and I if you guys would ever like us to come over and stay with Gavin and Madi. We would be more than happy to help out. Mark & KayAnn Engleman: Adam and Karen We continue to lift Gavin in prayer. But we pray that You find a special blessing on Friday night that was so not exspected. A gift from God to you for you need it. And that you know that gift is for you and Adam. A night to be remembered. I knew that Just as much as all pray for Gavin and the Lord has His hand on him daily so the Lord wants you both to know that, He just as much has His hand on you. Things are going pretty well around here! (Gosh... that feels really good to type) Gavin continues to do well here at home. He is maintaining his weight and is so happy. We are really hoping Gavin can start moving forward in all areas. He is just starting to sit up and play, which he really enjoys doing. I feel if his weight can increase then his development will move forward as well. His feed are going pretty well. He seems very comfortable as long as he gets his breaks from the feed. We are looking to increase his feed rate this week. We are going to clinic at duPont this week. I'm hoping that they will be happy with Gavin and how he is doing. I'm very aware that his weight needs to go up but at this point Adam and I are just so happy that he is not screaming all the time!

Unfortunately we have not had the nursing care we need and because of this we are unable to use Gavin's warmer at night. We look forward to hearing form the agency that some nurses were found!

We had a great time at Gavin's birthday party. Thank you to everyone who made this day extra special for all of us! Watching Gavin's face as we sang to him was a true miracle. He really has come so far!

Linda Soto: This website is awesome, and what a wonderful way to record Gavin and Madison's childhood. Wow, can't believe Gavin is 1 year old already. Happy Birthday Gavin. I love seeing your photo album. Gavin's smile is contagious, and Maddies curiousity is amazing. You truely have been blessed with two beautiful children, and they are really lucky to have been blessed with two loving, strong, and Godly parents. Your a real testimony of God's goodness. Hi everyone it's me Gavin! Yup, that's right it's my 1st birthday today and since I'm a big boy now I figured I've give the update today!

I feel great! I'm learning so much everyday and I have so much energy to explore this place Mommy and Daddy call home! I'm stating to sit up a little bit and wow does it feel good. I get pretty tired after awhile but I'm determined to make this body of mine work hard. I love all my friends! I have one black one and one white one and they both are connected to a large grey one. They also taste pretty good too! I have a few other acquaintances but Mommy yells at me when I try to play with them.

Now I'd like to take this time to speak with all the little brother's and sister's out there. One question...does it ever end? I mean she is just so big and even though she makes me giggle, when she comes at me with Mommy's yoga ball I get pretty scared!

Thank you to everyone who holds me, talks to me and talks to Jesus about me! I love your touch and it makes me feel good. People tell me that I'm a strong little boy but I just keep fighting because people are fighting for me and I can feel that!

Please come to my party... I'll be ok with a little kissin' and lovin'...If you want. Be sure to look at our pictures from the beach..lot's of fun!
